Sauna in Loveland
At PLUNJ Loveland, our dry sauna is heated by an electric stove and operates between 175–190°F with approximately 20% humidity. Pour water over the stones to create a burst of steam, settle in, and let the heat do its work. Most guests spend 10–15 minutes in the sauna before transitioning to the cold plunge — a simple, effective rhythm that leaves you feeling better than when you came in. Whether you're a Loveland local or visiting for the first time, our sauna is where recovery and relaxation meet.

Cold Plunge in Loveland
At PLUNJ Loveland, our cold plunge pool is maintained between 45–50°F and spacious enough to accommodate up to four people at a time. After your time in the sauna, stepping into the cold water is where the magic of contrast therapy happens. Most guests spend anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes in the plunge, letting the cold work to reduce inflammation, boost circulation, and elevate mood. It's a challenge worth taking — and one that Loveland locals keep coming back for.

Frequently Asked
Everything you need to know about PLUNJ Loveland
General FAQ's
PLUNJ is a Nordic style bathhouse where the main focus is contrast therapy. Our bathhouse is a small communal space for those who are striving to feel and perform their very best. Not to mention it is a fun place to hang out.
Our bathhouse strives to straddle the line between utility and luxury. You will find that our space, while very well-appointed, is simple in its method as well as in its practice. When all is said and done, we have only one goal: to help you feel better than when you came in.
Our double-sided studio features two fully equipped sides, each with its own dry sauna where our hosts will pour water over the stones to create steam, a cold plunge pool, a bucket shower, and a beverage and snack station.
Most guests follow this rotation: start in the sauna for 10-15 minutes, rinse off with a warm bucket shower, spend 30 seconds to 5 minutes in the cold pool, and then rest for a few minutes before repeating the process one or two more times.
We provide two private restrooms stocked with personal care essentials and three changing rooms, including two with private showers. Lockers are also available to store your personal items during your session.
We offer complimentary tea, water, and electrolytes throughout your visit. Other healthy snacks and beverages are also available for purchase. We provide towels to use in the sauna and after the cold plunge, but don't forget to bring your swimwear!
Contrast therapy is a type of treatment done through deliberate and safe exposure to extreme temperatures, such as switching back and forth between a sauna and a cold plunge. It provides many physical and mental health benefits.
Traditionally, bathhouses have been a center of the community. Our hope for PLUNJ is just that — a place to gather. PLUNJ is meant to be a social place. However, we encourage guests to please be mindful of others' experiences, use indoor voices when talking, and keep conversations appropriate. Any and all unwanted advances will be dealt with immediately.
Sessions last 1 hour. During this time you may use the amenities as much as you please.
We encourage first-time guests to arrive 10-15 minutes early so you can change and get acquainted with the space before your session starts in order to take advantage of the full hour.
To help create a seamless experience for all guests, please be mindful of the time spent in the restrooms and changing rooms before and after your session.
PLUNJ Loveland accommodates a maximum of 7 guests per session. This keeps the space intimate, intentional, and enjoyable for everyone.
Traditionally, bathhouses are clothing optional. However, PLUNJ is not — CLOTHING IS MANDATORY. Most guests wear swimwear or something they feel comfortable getting wet in. All swimwear should be appropriate for a public communal space.
PLUNJ is a tech-free space. Please silence all electronic devices upon entry of the bathhouse unless it is necessary (i.e. medical professionals, first responders, etc.)
PLUNJ Loveland enforces a strict minimum age of 14 years. Children aged 14 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult who completes a consent waiver on their behalf.
Our saunas typically operate between 175-190 degrees Fahrenheit with approximately 20% humidity. Cold plunges are maintained between 45-55 degrees Fahrenheit. These temperatures may be subject to local health department mandates — feel free to reach out if you have specific questions.

If you're feeling unwell, we advise staying home to prevent potential exposure to other guests. Notify us promptly if you're unable to attend your scheduled session and we'll assist you in managing your reservation.
Listen to your body during cold plunges and exit the water if you experience shivering, increased heart rate, or difficulty breathing. Research suggests 30-90 seconds of immersion is adequate for health benefits, and we recommend limiting cold exposure sessions to a maximum of 5 minutes at a time.
The most important guideline is to listen to your body. Signs you may be getting too warm include tingling in the fingers, ears, or skin, and feeling lightheaded or short of breath.
Most guests find 10–15 minutes in the sauna to be an effective and comfortable range. While your tolerance may build over time, extended sessions can place additional stress on the body, so we recommend taking breaks and pacing yourself.
If you have cardiovascular disease, cardiac arrhythmia, excessively high or low blood pressure, fever, cancer, skin disorders, blood clots, varicose veins, or respiratory infections, the sauna may be more harmful than helpful for you.
If you have untreated myocardial hypertrophy, coronary artery disease and/or chest pain, untreated high blood pressure, other cardiovascular health problems or cardiac arrhythmia, it may be best to avoid cold water.
Please consult your doctor if you're not sure whether you should use the sauna or cold plunges. If you are pregnant, please consult your doctor before your visit.

Community Room FAQ's
Our Community Room is a flexible 400 sq ft space designed for movement, meetings, and connection. It's ideal for yoga and Pilates classes, workshops, book clubs, small meetings, birthday or bridal parties, and other community gatherings. Contact us for pricing and availability.
No — the Community Room is a separate booking from our standard sauna and cold plunge sessions. However, if you're booking a Private Group Session, the Community Room is available as an add-on to complement your experience. Contrast therapy access always requires its own reservation and a signed PLUNJ waiver regardless of how you book.
The Community Room is available to independent instructors (yoga, Pilates, movement, wellness), guests hosting private events or group buyouts, and community members needing space for meetings or gatherings. We just ask that all bookings are confirmed with us in advance.
We provide the space — instruction and programming is entirely yours to shape. Instructors using the room are independent contractors and are responsible for their participants, safety, and programming. PLUNJ Loveland does not supervise or manage activities taking place in the room.
Yes, in most cases. Depending on the activity, participants may be required to sign a Community Room Participant Waiver in addition to any waiver required by the instructor.
For recurring classes or paid instruction, instructors are typically required to carry general liability insurance and name PLUNJ Loveland as an additional insured. Proof may be required prior to your first booking — just reach out and we'll walk you through it.
Approved activities include yoga, Pilates, stretching, and other wellness classes, as well as workshops, meetings, educational events, and small group gatherings. All activities should align with PLUNJ Loveland's values of safety, respect, and cleanliness.
The following are not permitted without prior written approval: candles, open flames, or incense; alcohol or controlled substances; food preparation or cooking; amplified sound or disruptive noise; and use of sauna, shower, or cold plunge facilities. We reserve the right to stop any activity that poses a safety or property risk.
Yes, with approval. Users and instructors are responsible for their own equipment, setup and breakdown, and any damage caused by items brought into the space. Please note that on-site technical support is not available during events.
Your booking includes access to the space during your confirmed time, along with standard in-room amenities which may include a TV/AV setup, speaker system, tables and chairs, and limited refrigerator access in approved cases. Availability of specific equipment can vary, so please confirm your needs when you book.
Please leave the space as you found it — remove all personal items, dispose of trash, and return furniture to its original setup. Additional cleaning or damage may result in added charges.
Unless otherwise noted at the time of booking, our Community Room cancellation policy is as follows: cancellations made 24 or more hours in advance receive a full refund; cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance receive a 50% refund; no-shows are charged in full. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect future booking privileges.
