Tips on Tipping
By saltlake · March 19, 2026
Terminals at fast casual restaurants have many of us feeling “tipping fatigue”.
When you’re met with, “Would you like to leave a tip?” and the options are 15, 20, or 25% for a whole lot of nothing, it’s understandable.
At PLUNJ, we’re a hospitality experience. Every element curated by a delightful host. They warmly greet you upon arrival, throw steam infused with essential oils throughout the session, deliver hydrating electrolyte water, not to mention turn over and completely sanitize the studio prior to the start.
All that said… tipping isn’t expected.
However, the option is subtlety provided where guests can scan a QR code after their visit.
The community is very generous to our hosts.
If you found your host to be unreasonably hospitable, a tip is greatly appreciated.
A typical tip may be a few dollars, doesn’t have to be 20%, and by no means expected every visit.
In a world where you’re met with a “tipping prompt” everywhere you go, for no genuine “service”, we’re not built to be that.
Other ways you can reward your host…
- Leave a Google Review mentioning them specifically.
- Buy a discount pass through them.
- Simply call them by name, and say “Thank you.”
- Pick up after yourself. ;)
Tip or no tip, we’re grateful to host you!
