Nordic bathhouse rituals run deep in Scandinavian culture. These rituals are time-tested and are as simple as they are effective. That is why here at PLUNJ, staying true to the Nordic tradition, we have developed #theregimen. This regimen not only stays true to its Nordic roots, but we are sure that it will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to PLUNJ through whatever life might have in store for you next.

1- HOT

Drink 1-2 glasses or a bottle of water 30 minutes to an hour before you get into the sauna.

Once inside, choose your seat. The top ones are the hottest, and the lower ones are the coolest.

Pour water on the stones to create löyly (The Finnish word for the steam coming off of the hot rocks.)

After 8-15 minutes of sweating, move on to step 2.

2 - COLD

Now, onto the most rewarding, yet challenging piece of the puzzle. The PLUNJ.
Before entering the plunge pool, please make sure to take a cleansing shower using the bucket shower next to the sauna.
Pick which plunge pool you would like to use, and fully submerse your body into it. One is set for 60-65 degrees, and one is set for around 45-50 degrees.
Once you have submersed your body, feel free to stay in the plunge pool, practicing your breathing, for up to 5 minutes.
When your body feels ready, move on to step 3.

3 - REST

Time to relax. Choose a chair, and let your body rest.
Allow your body to rest for at least 10-15 minutes before heading back into the sauna.
If you would like, this would be a good time to order a hot foot soak.

Once complete, repeats steps 1-4 as many times as you would like.
